This is how the cutting edge looks after sharpening.  When the tool is correctly sharpened it will make cuts like those in the next picture.

This is hard maple and the cuts are smooth as silk, proof that the tool is correctly sharpened.  Mission accomplished. If you run into trouble while sharpening your slip, send me an email.
