This is an example of Spear & Jackson saw. Features unique to this saw:
Blade and teeth condition. Blade has small amount of shallow pitting. Lightly cleaned and oiled.
Bull Nose Toe and the Nib.
Blade Marking: Stamp Blade stampings under the curved Spear & Jackson shifts more than the one above it to the left.

Handle Fastening: Two "large" brass screws, one "small" screw and one Label Screw - medallion. Split nuts. One screw and nut missing.
The Handle: Beech handle has normal dings and scratches. Handle has a light black stained area both sides. Handle was cleaned with Murphy oil and polished with Minwax finishing. This saw is from the collection of Frank Brickhouse. |
