The wedges arrived well fitted and easy to set. I found they would generally hold with thumb pressure alone but a light tap with a mallet sets them strong. With just standard honing I found I could cut straight. Here is the rosewood cutting some particularly nasty brown oak that wanted to tear out at the slightest provocation.
And curly wood with great ease as you would expect from a fine plane. Here is the little ebony plane cutting bear’s claw curly fir. This wood is generally considered unplanable by many.
So, here’s your chance. The best planes the least money ever bought. Don’t let them get away!
