The Medallion:

Handle Fastening:   One "small" brass screw at the top.  Two "large" brass screws, and one medallion.  Split nuts.

The Handle:  Apple.  Unusual shape - the grip is very low from the top of the handle.

Visual Inspection:

Blade lightly cleaned and oiled.  Very good condition.  Small amount of scratches and dings on handle.  Handle has been refinished.

Special Notes:

Notice on the third nut from top an X scratched in the handle.  There is a worn place where the index finger rested.  The correct way to saw.

 

Notice on the medallion side next to the top horn the handle is worn or was made this way for the thumb to rest.
